Cheddar and Beef Sliders
1.5 lbs lean ground beef
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp Smak Dab Hot Honey Jalapeño
1 tsp sea salt
10 turns on a pepper mill
¼ cup bread crumbs
10 slices of cheddar cheese
In a bowl, gently mix the ground beef, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Using a 1/3 measuring cup, portion and shape 10 patties. Press an indentation into each patty.
Grill patties, covered, over medium high heat for 6-7 minutes on each side, quarter turning halfway. Meanwhile, lightly toast buns on the grill. Top with cheese the last minute of cooking time.
10 slider buns, split
10 slices of thick cut bacon
¼ cup mayo recipe
¼ cup Smak Dab Beer Chipotle
10 small leaves of butter lettuce
1 roma tomato, sliced thin
In a small bowl, add the mayo and mustard. Mix well and set aside for assembly.
Preheat oven to 400oF and line a sheet pan with parchment. Cut the strips of bacon in half and lay on the sheet pan. Bake 20 minutes, flipping the bacon halfway through. Remove and drain on a piece of paper towel. Set aside.
Lay out your toasted buns and slather both sides with the mustard mayo. Place the patty on the bottom and top with 2 slices of bacon, tomato, lettuce, and add the bun top. Serve immediately.
Smak Dab Mayo
2 tsp Smak Dab Mustard Hot Honey Jalapeno, White Wine Herb, or Curry Dijon
1/2 tsp sea salt
2 tsp lemon juice or white wine vinegar, plus more to season
1 cup vegetable or canola oil
For a basic mayo, blend together egg, mustard, salt, and lemon juice in a food processor. With the motor running, very slowly drizzle in about a ¼ cup oil. Gradually add in the remaining oil in a slow and steady stream. The mayo should be thick and creamy. Season with salt and more lemon juice if needed.
